IPE 502 - Healthcare Interprofessional Education - Spring

Prerequisite, admission to the Doctor of physical therapy or M.M.S. in physician assistant studies or M.S. in communication sciences and disorders or Doctor of pharmacy program. IPE 502 is one of a 3-part series of required university courses for health professional students. This course series prepares students to practice health care services through a team approach. Working in small interprofessional team through interactive collaborative activities, students will explore and become proficient in the 4 Interprofessional Collaborative Practice Competency Domains: Values/Ethics for Interprofessional Practice; Roles/Responsibilities; Interprofessional Communication; Teams and Teamwork. The overall goal of this course series is to lay the foundation for student practitioners to optimize collaborative patient-centered care in the future.
