PHS 628 - Instrumental Analysis II


Corequisite, PHS 628L. The course focuses on the theory and applications of analytical techniques in biochemical, biomedical, and pharmaceutical sciences. Students will learn about major laboratory techniques including Immunohistochemistry, Microscopy, PCR, NMR spectroscopy, CD spectroscopy, Surface Plasmon Resonance, and other methods. This course is designed to provide students with the theory behind these useful laboratory techniques, to learn about data analysis, preparation and presentation of the results, and the preparation of scientific reports based on the obtained laboratory results. Letter grade. (Offered spring semester.) 0.5 credit
