PHS 628L - Instrumental Analysis II Lab


Corequisite, PHS 628. The course includes a laboratory component focusing on the practical applications of analytical techniques in pharmaceutical, biomedical, and biochemical sciences. Students will receive hands-on experience with major laboratory techniques including Microscopy, Cell Imaging, Mass-Spectrometry, NMR spectroscopy, CD spectroscopy, Surface Plasmon Resonance, and other methods. Students will learn about instrument operation, recording data, maintaining a laboratory notebook, data analysis, and the preparation of scientific reports based on the obtained laboratory results. Letter grade. (Offered spring semester.) 0.5 credit
