FTP 588 - Scheduling and Budgeting the Independent Feature

Using Movie Magic, the industry-standard software system, the student will be put in the role of Production Manager and learn the step-by-step path from script to a production plan that is ready to execute. Students will cover the fundamentals of different types of producers before learning to read a script like a line producer, create a professional breakdown, transform that breakdown into a tight shooting schedule, and finally building a realistic budget for the project. Pass/No Pass. (Offered summer session.) 3 credits
