CSD 503 - Language Disorders in Children

Prerequisite, communication sciences and disorders majors only. Disorders of language in children from birth to 12 years of age; impact on academic performance, high and low incidence disorders; prevention, screening, assessment, identification, and treatment. Principles/techniques of assessment, intervention focus on the periods of emergent language, language for learning, advanced adolescent language; integrated with students’ clinical practicum.
