LAW 7955 - Entertainment Financing


This course provides students with a comprehensive overview of the fundamentals and deal structures used in the financing of the production and distribution of entertainment content (i.e. films, streaming and tv series) including the monetization schemes currently evolving in the entertainment industry.  The course includes practical exercises (including deal negotiation scenarios) designed to give students experience in the application of these deal structures who will work as teams to formulate financing plans for an entertainment project they will select which plan will be presented to a jury of entertainment financing professionals at the end of the semester. There is no final exam.  This course is an approved elective for the Entertainment Law Certificate.  This course will satisfy the Experiential Course Requirement. Letter grade. 3 credits
