PHRM 622 - Drug Delivery Systems II

Prerequisites, PHRM 521, PHRM 581, PHRM 591, PHRM 601, PHRM 611, PHRM 621, PHRM 621L, doctor of pharmacy major. Corequisite, PHRM 622L. This required course explores: Disperse System, Sterile, and Specialty Dosage Forms. Physicochemical properties of drug molecules and their effect on formulation, manufacturing, and administration of Disperse System, Sterile and Specialty Dosage Forms; Pharmaceutical calculations related to sterile preparations and specialty dosage forms; and the governing regulations of USP 797. Sterile technique, safe handling, labeling and disposal of bio hazardous materials are covered. (Offered every year.) 2 credits
